Rittenhouse Archives new Marvel Universe 2014 Trading Cards will contain a whopping 432 cards (not including sketch cards) for the collector to hunt down. The standard base set will consist of 90 cards featuring the greatest heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe, however, there are 5 total levels of the base set:
- 90-card base set
- 90-card "Sapphire" parallel base set (1:3 packs)
- 90-card "Emerald" parallel base set, individually numbered to 100 (1:1 box)
- 90-card "Diamond" parallel base set, individually numbered to 10 (1:1 case)
- 90-card "Ruby" parallel base set, individually number to 50 (90:1 Archive Box)
In addition to the base cards the Marvel Universe 2014 boxes contain the first 25 of a total 75 cards honoring Marvel's 75th Anniversary. These cards are numbered to 75 and will fall about 2 per case (1:144 packs).

Some already announced artists include John Romita Sr., Mark Texeira, Mick Glebe, Matt Glebe, Turso Llanetta, Warren Martineck, Lak Lim, Jon Hughes, Jose Carlos Sanchez, Alcione Silva, Eric McConnell. Rittenhouse Archives is saying more than 100 more are also planned.
Set configuration is 5 Cards Per Pack, 24 Packs Per Box, 12 Boxes Per Case.
One box of 120 total cards should provide:
- 8 "Sapphire" base cards
- 2 2011 Marvel Universe "Artist Draft" bonus expansion
- 1 "Emerald" base card
- 1 Sketch card
- 1 "Marvel's Greatest Battles" THOR expansion bonus card
- 1 "Marvel's Greatest Battles" CAPTAIN AMERICA expansion bonus card
